Crafty Christmas with an old tennis racquet

So a few weeks ago I found an old junky tennis racquet at our community dump.  Now, I'm not a tennis player, but my next door neighbors are huge tennis buffs.  You can imagine with all of the PVC cutting and banging around that goes on at my house, sometimes it's a good thing to "love thy neighbor" with kindness and random gifts.

I thought it might be a nice gesture to make them a Christmas decoration out of it.  So with some paint, ribbon, glitter, wire, glue and a green ornament...here's what happened!

I sanded it a little bit, painted the wires silver (with Krylon fusion paint for plastic just in case), glued some glitter in a tennis ball pattern onto an ornament and...

I'm pretty pleased with it....and the neighbors seemed to like it!
